About

I have always had an interest in two things: food and the natural world. My career therefore has been woven around these two themes. I have a degree (BSc) from the University of Bath in Plant Science, a Masters (MSc) from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in Crop Genetics and a PhD from the John Innes Institute in Molecular Virology.
I presently run the website of and collaborate on the Bioscience Resource Project which is a web resource for those interested in the sciences associated with food and farming and who wish those sciences to advance fairness, justice and sustainability.
