About
I live in a wooden house in a botanical garden with my husband, dog, and cat in beautiful Clayoquot Sound, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
I have decided that I should clone myself in order to wear all the many hats that I have, which include:
* Resident naturalist at the Clayoquot Field Station and Tofino Botanical Gardens (www.tbgf.org)
* Executive Director of the Raincoast Education Society (www.raincoasteducationsociety.org)
* Lead coordinator of the 2010 International Congress of Ethnobiology in Tofino, BC (www.ise2010tofino.org)
* Principal, Red Fish Blue Fish Consulting (www.redfishbluefish.ca)
My interests and activities can be generally summarized as wanting to help people have a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural environment (and our role, as humans, as part of it) to create a sense of caring and an ethic of stewardship.
I'm trying all kinds of ways to do this, and learning what I like the best, what I'm best at, and what is the most effective where I live.
