After finishing a Ph.D. on Shakespeare in 2005 and publishing a book the same year on Radiohead, I made the full-time transition in 2006 from university-level teaching of literature (Ancient to Postmodern) and composition (expository, research and business writing) to web design and development. I worked for Modwest, Inc. from 2006 to 2007 and I'm now working for the University of Washington designing and developing websites and web application interfaces for their Network Management Tools Team. I've specialized in documentation, production management, and information architecture for the web and I'm now moving into research on data visualization and intensive development using JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML and PHP. I'm a member of the Information Architecture Institute and the Interaction Design Association.
