About
Hi my name is Joseph Amsili and I will be graduating a semester early from high school in Ithaca, NY. I will be traveling to Barcelona for the spring semester of 09. I will attend La Escuela Mediterráneo, and I would very much like to volunteer or do some community service involving sustainability while i am there. At my school I have been a part of an ecological group called the localvores, whose purpose has been to establish relationships with local farmers in an effort to get organic and healthier foods for our school, and lower our carbon footprint. Recently I have been thinking about what it means to be sustainable, thinking about how my actions effect everyone around me and future generations to come. I am really interested in broadening my perspective on how people are dealing with these issues. My spanish is still a work in progress, but I am a hard worker, willing to do most any task at hand ,I am caring, and I am devoted into making this world a better place with the natural world in my mind.
If anybody could point me in the direction of some community service or a place I could plug in that would be great.
Thanks
