Habib's Garden

Connecting People to Weave a Better World

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Steve Habib Rose.  A number of us met this evening and thought that this group would be a fitting tribute. Lets use this group to recognize, honor and appreciate the many gifts and blessings he bestowed on so many of us. Please add yourself and your reflections.

About

I am working toward my second retirements creer. For the past five years I have been presenting at business and technical conferences on fixed and mobile telecommuications and Internet topics.

I then hadsome operations which put me out of circulation for almost a year.

While recouperating I decided when I had sufficiently recovered I would attempt to start a new "career" focussd on an integrated analysis and practical integrated solutions to climate change, the oil depletion, desertification, deforestation, population growth, extreme poverty, pollution, declining fisheries, food security, falling water table everywhere, human reactions to these combined "crises" . What happens to the world economy when the oil price reaches $500 a barrel as it may. Will these crises generate extremist poltical movement. Religious, Communist, fascist, anti-science and technology. Consider all thge new weapons of mass destruction that are becoming available. Spread of nuclear power to cut down CO2 emissions. Genetic manufacture of viruses. Etc.
