About

Travel
In 1997 I spent 3 months in Western Europe after graduating from highschool.  My 16 year old sister and I started in Amsterdam, ended in Lagos, Portugal and opered in France in between.  It was an epic adventure and so special to have shared it with my sister.

In 1999 I went back to Western Europe with my mother.

In 2001 I spent 3 months in Brazil during the middle of my senior year of college.  After a few weeks in Juiz da Fora we flew to the Amazon, traveled from there to the coast and spent about 2 months exploring the northern coast.

From 2002 to 2003 Seth and I traveled for 13 months.  We started in Tahiti and Fiji then spent 3 months in New Zealand.  We traveled the islands first in a Mitsubishi van and then in a Mitsubishi station wagon.  They both served us well.  We then spent 3 months in Australia in another station wagon.  Even though this one lost its rear window, some silicone kept us going and dry.  Next, we were lucky enough to spend 2 months with uncle Dave Davenport in Bali, Indonesia.  When we arrived in Bangkok, Thailand I came down with Dengue Fever just in time for my mother to arrive for a visit.  After visiting Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, Seth's parents visited us in Northern Thailand.  We then went back to Laos before leaving for home from Thailand.  We completed the trip with a quick visit to the East coast where Seth visited Martha's Vineyard for the first time.

From 2005 to 2006 we traveled over land from Mexico City D.F. to La Paz, Bolivia and back through Peru to Costa Rica where we got married.
