About

Throughout Jason’s career, he has exhibited the drive and passion of a champion, and in his new endeavor as the President and CEO of TreeVestors, Inc., he is applying that passion to improving our global environment and finding new avenues for responsible investment.

Jason spent 11 years as a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League, starring as a defenseman for such teams as the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers and the Phoenix Coyotes, and setting for himself a reputation for hard hitting defense and tenacious play.  Through his entire professional hockey career however, Jason also focused his attention on civic and social issues, donating his time and efforts in helping those around him.  During his time with the New York Rangers, he worked with inner-city youth, through programs like Ice Hockey in Harlem and the NHL Hockey Diversity Task Force.  Jason has also been involved in helping impoverished and homeless youth and their families as well as having visiting wounded members of our armed forces.

As a father of two, Jason became concerned about the environment and the condition of the planet that will be left to his children and grandchildren.  He began to research opportunities to improve the health of our planet and through a business colleague, discovered the benefits of tropical forestry and the planting of trees.  He and his partners visited tropical hardwood plantations in Central America and developed the idea of TreeVestors, connecting investors who wish to improve the environment with plantations dedicated to the planting and cultivation of new hardwood forests.  Historically, the investment in forests was an opportunity largely limited to big conglomerates or full-scale investment funds.  Through Jason and his partners though, TreeVestors, Inc. is opening this equally responsible and lucrative investment to everyone; a way to receive potentially high long-term returns on an investment while giving back to our world.  As President and CEO of TreeVestors, Inc., Jason is dedicated to the premise that responsible investing can and must produce a greener future.
