About

I am a Macalester student excited to make wonderful things happen.
I think I was spiritual before I was revolutionary. Not that I'm either. But I'm also everything. I'm definitely confused. Most of the time.

I love community, dreams, hip-hop, laughter, poetry, contradictory and deep statements that defy the intellect, dogs, sunshine, music, and the prospect of doing a backflip amongst other things.

I am searching for a deeper understanding of chaordic networks, where self-catalyzing order arises and leadership is shared because it is inherently decentralized.  I am excited and driven by the possibilities that manifest throughout this search, but continually work to understand and find balance in how the empowerment of some affects that of others.

Since middle school I have been exploring a world of philosophies. I believe in a divine presence in all things. I believe that this presence is in control of the universe, not me. Thus, my work is practicing acceptance, acting in love, cultivating peace, and discovering beauty in every unexpected corner, but really, this work is done by something else besides Jason. I believe that we are all one being, and I find equanimity in that unity. While my emotions are constantly changing, joy in my language is a constant marvel that can be danced even in the midst of sorrow. “There is nothing in life worth more than this: A hearty laugh coming deep from the Soul.” -Kim Hauenstein
