About
Personal Journey:
I was born in Iran at a time where for a kid growing up, things could not have been better. When I turned 10, the world could not have been a more chaotic place. I witnessed a revolution in 1978 that took the lives of many people, and for many years made Iran synonymous with the "American Hostages". It was in this midst that I came to the US, with only 4 suitcases that my family brought and for the next few years, as a teenager, endured the reality of being an Iranian during the "US hostage" crisis, and finding it practically impossible to internalize my extended family's daily life during the Iran & Iraq war. These significant life events and many others have allowed me to see the word through a different lens. First to recognize suffering, and now to learn how to heal and forgive. I spent the first 10 years after college working for Intel Corporation in Santa Clara California. As an undergrad in electronic engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Intel was a natural fit yet ironically it went smack against my lost idealism early in college of not wanting to work in one of the largest polluting industries in the world. The first 4 years were spent traveling the world creating and managing trade shows for Intel. The last years involved working with entertainment companies and getting my hands dirty in the internet space, making, fixing and working on overly capitalized deals. I was even fortunate to work in a Hollywood talent agency(CAA) for a year, rubbing elbows with Hollywood stars and their superstar agents and seeing and living the lifestyle of shallow excess first hand. I had the fortune of meeting my life partner in the last year of my career at Intel and soon left the craziness of corporate world to pursue more wholesome endeavors and to get married. After taking time off, we were blessed with a daughter whom I work on a daily basis to be present and authentic with..... She, as is any child, is a gift and I try my best to nurture her truest essence so that she may continue to share it with the world.. In my personal exploration phase, I lent my photography skills in the development of the ecommerce site of Amma's website www.amma.org and got to be introduced to a truly unique human being. Soon after I had the fortune of meeting up with a group of very dedicated people to help launch www.alonovo.com . Our collective mission was to bring awareness to how we impact our world through our shopping behaviors. After typical startup challenges in raising capital I left that endeavor and dedicated some of my time to help the wonderful work at Natural Capital Institute analyzing their list of partners for the WiserBusiness initiative...
Current Gig:
Since I've found that updating my bio is a challenge with so many website, specially community sites, that I've decided to simply provide a link to my personal site hooman.rabieh.com ... additionally, I've started a blog called www.consciouscurrents.com.. I would love to hear your comment and eagerly look forward to your participation in the discussions.

First, I review the five elements. I use it like a mantra.
Housing
Water
Food
Energy
Occupation
It is very likely that the root cause of the problem is based in one or more of these five things.
Your thoughts please.
