Areas of Focus
About
Hi there everyone at Wiser earth,
I am a buddhist and documentary film maker from New Delhi, India. My areas of focus are, anthropological subjects, religion, wildlife and travel and cuisine. I have filmed and travelled with H H the Dalai Lama and so have a lot of exclusive footage of him in far flung and inhospitable regions of the Himalayas, as well as several interviews with His Holiness.
I have also been involved with conservation and wildlife for long. I run an NGO that works for conservation of Elephant habitat, and minimising man animal conflict. The organisation is in the process of begining programmes to do with the health and welfare of domestic elephants, especially those that are used in big cities. Strangely none of the rules that apply to elephants in captivity apply to these animals, as they are neither wild nor under ownership of the forest departments. Bad handling and walking in cities amongst traffic takes a toll on these poor animals. We aim to run programmes that will help these animals and keep a check on errant owners.
