About

I truly believe in the beauty and necessity of mindful, compassionate, respectful existence

among other facets of sustainable/regenerative living,

through which human beings rediscover and nurture

their interconnectedness with each other, with the

planet, and all of its living inhabitants.

For example, I am dedicated to the progression, revitalization, and

empowerment of sustainable agriculture and I feel

compelled to devote my energy to the cause. The more I

educate myself about the modern food industrial

complex which has its bearings in the Western world

(especially in the United States), the more

impassioned I become to unravel it, to decentralize

it, to transform it and put the power back into the

hands of localized economies and small-scale, socially

and ecologically responsible farms.

In addition to my passion for sustainable food systems, I am a

dedicated student of yoga and meditation. I have been practicing

Vinyasa Flow style yoga consistently for about a year

now and I have fallen in love with it.Having just graduated from college,

I am now embarked upon a journey of exploration to cultivate my

passions, to sustain my inner being while

simultaneously giving back to the greater living

community.

"The great sea has set me in motion, set me adrift, and I move as a weed in the river. The arch of the sky and mightiness of storms encompasses me, and I am left trembling with joy." --Eskimo song

"Too often, people enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought, never taking a principled stand. True justice will never come until those who are not injured are just as indignant as those who are." --NAACP President Kweisi Mfume

"To see is itself a creative operation, requiring an effort. Everything we see in our daily life is more or less distorted by acquired habits...The effort needed to see things without distortion takes something very like courage." --Henri Matisse

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

Hi Hannah, responding to your request for information on organic farming/farms in Costa Rica.  Reading your profile heartened me as I have been working in Costa Rica for the past 5 years actualizing the re-localization, empowerment of small scale family farmers trying to sustain their livelihood while bringing others blessed nurturance.  I am in the states for the next couple of months if you wanted to connect by phone as it might be easier to discuss your options in Costa Rica.  Write me back at my email with a telephone number if you would like to talk.  Blessings, Tricia
