About

I am a dietitian who is passionate about promoting sustainable food. I work as a nutrition educator specializing in diabetes and also teach nutrition for culinary students.  I developed a class, "Food for our Future" and "Earth Friendly Cuisine" to spread the word about sustainability but I am findng that people are often overwhelmed when I begin to teach about factory farmed meat and fish. I believe this topic needs to be given in an ongoing class where people can practice during the week and get together to share experiences and receive support and ideas from others.  I am interested in helping the community where I live (Santa Barbara area) especially but also would love to counsel people online about the effect of their food choices not only on their health but our environment.
