About
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
-TS Eliot
I am a lover of life, in its many forms.
I am currently a doctoral student exploring
the relationships of cosmology, ecological consciousness, sustainability, and Yoga.
In life and the world this research is taking the form of
the Yoga of Sustainability
which integrates deep ecology, permaculture, community, and Yoga as a practice for
integral sustainability.
I'd love to network around this research, as well as the connection to land through the body in general.
I'd love to network around this research, as well as the connection to land through the body in general.
Things I'd like to network in currently:
~ I am co-teaching an online doctoral course called Integral Sustainability. I'd love guest speakers, articles, and resources.
~ I am developing and soon launching the Yoga of Sustainability, and want to cultivate easy accessible practices for ecology of heart, land, body, mind, and community. Any ideas, resources, or enthusiastic connections welcome =)
~ I am helping to develop a sustainable building business and education circuit and would love to connect around resources of all sorts.
~ I am currently accepting new clients for my transformational consulting, so feel free to pass my info along!
~ I am moving to Boston to pursue further graduate degrees, and would love any connections for the area.
Namaste!
PS - I am teaching a breathing and balancing workshop in Sebastopol in December - if you write me from WiserEarth, you can come for half price! www.yogaevolution.com ~Blessings!!~

"It was joyful to hear the merry whistle of blackbirds as they darted
from one clump of greenery to the other. Now and again a peaty amber
colored stream rippled across their way, with ferny over-grown banks,
where the blue kingfisher flitted busily from side to side, or the gray
and pensive heron, swollen with trout and dignity, stood ankle-deep
among the sedges. Chattering jays and loud wood-pigeons flapped thickly
overhead, while ever and anon the measured tapping of Nature's
carpenter, the great green woodpecker, sounded from each wayside grove."

Rilke – The Book of Hours
God speaks to each of us as he makes us, Then walks with us silently out of the night. These are the words we dimly hear: You, sent out beyond your recall, Go to the limits of your longing. Embody me. Flare up like a flame And make big shadows I can move in. Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final. Don’t let yourself lose me. Nearby is the country they call life. You will know it by its seriousness. Give me your hand. |
