About

Born and raised in Cornwall, UK, I grew with a passion for the outdoors, the sea, coastal walking. I now have a 14-yr son, Forrest, and live by the sea in Colombia, South America.
I joined The Gaia Foundation in 1992, with a degree in Latin American studies and a desire to work on indigenous and community rights, ecological restoration and sustainable livelihoods. Thanks to the concept of ‘'distance-working'’ and global communications, I continue to work with Gaia, gained a Masters in Protected Landscape Management, am linked to many inspiring initiatives and people around the world, and work closely with indigenous and community groups, NGOs and policy-makers in Colombia.
