Ecoliteracy in Action

We are members and friends of Esalen Institute's month long legacy/workscholar group, Ecoliteracy in Action. We explore what it means to embody the science of Sustainability, the art of Permaculture, and the culture and economics of the Transition Movement. With heart, soul and love we will share what we know and discover new possibilities together.

About

Hello, my name is Ellie Wehner and I am a professional geoscientist (originally from PA, now living in Austin, TX).  For fun, I am also the TX Field Representative for American Forests.  Both my primary professional and personal interests involve the cleanup and restoration of environmentally degraded land for the purpose of ecological land reuse.  I have a BS and an MS degree (Vanderbilt Univeristy) in Geology.

I've created the Green Remediation (Phytotechnologies) group on WiserEarth.  You are welcome to join the group and contribute to the group.  My goal in life is very simple...I am here to help teach people how to add more 'green' to the earth's existing patchwork even if it involves restoring one tiny, degraded location at a time!

Blessings to you and Mother Earth!
