I have recently completed a Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability at the Blekinge Teckniska Högskola in Karlskrona, Sweden. The overall focus of the course is to understand and implement a comprehensive and scientifically rigorous methodology of sustainability in organizations worldwide. My thesis research focused on sustainability indicators for a community planning process through which I have had the opportunity to garner an in depth understanding on the importance of transparency and reporting.

My thesis team recently presented a poster on our indicators research at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Conference in May 2008, and I was also granted the responsibility of reporting on conference sessions for the final Conference Report. The work of the GRI is vital to creating a sustainable society and.

I am interested in using my knowledge of planning for sustainability to affect real change in any capacity.

I have more recently completed the YES Course (Youth Encounter on Sustainability) in Switzerland. The focus of the course was to explore ways we can use social drivers to direct ourselves towards sustainability. The YES Course brought together 35 youth representing 30 countries to engage each other in a dialogue with the goal of creating intelligent ideas on how to most effectively lead society towards sustainability.
