I am involved in research into the growth of grassroots groups working for justice, especially groups interested in transnational concerns about justice. I have a special interest in locating and connecting with persons and groups working for justice related to America and the Middle East, to Americans' search for trustworthy information about US involvements in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Israeli-Palestinian situation, and other aspects of US/Middle East interaction. I have recently returned to the US after teaching and doing research for 5 years in Turkey and Jordan. My field is American Studies.
