I am the Excutive Director of Food First/Institute for Food and Development Policy. Our mission is to end the injustices that cause hunger and environmental degradation. We are a "people's think tank". For 31 years we have produced information and analysis to inform social movements and to amplify the voices of those social movements for the general public. We carry out participatory and applied action research on global and local issues, focusing on the food sovereignty strugggles in communities of people of color--worldwide. Our books, reports, backgrounders, policy papers, and bi-monthly issue updates are available at : www.foodfirst.org
