About
I strive to teach, model and explore how to live joyfully and regeneratively in relation to myself, community, the earth, and spirit. My passion is to contribute to the evolution of a transition culture which values and practices living in ecological harmony with cultural and physical realities. This includes nature awareness, cultural mentoring, reclaiming Rites of Passage, elders, etc., ethnobotany, permaculture, local food systems, indigenous and/or appropriate technology, Peacemaker Principles, and inner work.
My experience ranges from ecology studies, grassroots environmental activism, research on environmental policy and law, conservation biology research in New Zealand, whale behavior and marine ecology research in Northeast US, organic farming, landscape surveying and planning, wilderness instruction, workshop leadership and facilitation, community gardening, and permaculture design and implementation. These are some projects, activities and communities in which I am currently involved:
