I am a lifelong learner that believes in progressive education, living simply and naturally on the earth and raising organic food, whenever I can. Currently, I live an urban lifestyle, but also love living in the woods and hope to again in the future. I have my masters in art therapy from Goddard College and work/teach at Antioch University Seattle now. Progressive, personalized education is a passion of mine--and in some instances that may mean unschooling or homeschooling. But, mostly it means learning that comes from the individual's dreams, desires, needs and feeds them at a soul-level. I also have a small psychotherapy practice in Ballard based on person centered principles of honoring the individual's personal process and allowing the growth, healing and learning to happen in a creative space using arts processes. My theory is that psychotherapy can be fun and inspiring in addition to promoting personal healing and growth. I also enjoy making art from found objects, painting, and playing acoustic music (fiddle, mandolin). I love children and honor them as the beautiful, pure beings they are. There is no one more open, loving and kind--all aspirations I try to keep close to myself.
The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity ... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.
