About

teacher, photographer, environmentalist, living on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

I teach literacy to children with learning difficulties.

I also teach art classes, swimming lessons and lead yoga sessions in my community.

I lead projects for The Mural Movement, a non-profit that paints murals with children in orphanages, traveling to places such as Haiti and Romania.

Last year, I taught health science and sex education to middle school students. I started a school garden and organized a photo essay project.

I have worked for an educational travel program, teaching art and literature to Canadian high school students while traveling through 7 European countries.

I have done groundwork and research for a biodiesel start-up, and worked as a fundraising intern for The Nature Conservancy in Nassau, Bahamas.

I love the ocean and activities that get me in the ocean. I love all forms of creative expression, be it performance art (dance, theatre) or visual art (photography, collage, mosaic, found-object sculpture, painting).

I plan to earn my Master's in Art Education, and start art and literacy educational programs geared toward women.
