About
I am a professor of Geography and Environment at Boston University. My teaching and research interests centers on the nexus among energy, society and the environment. I am currently spending a lot of time in my role as Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Earth. When I am not thinking about energy, I spend most of my time running the youth lacrosse program in Arlington, MA, and serving on the board of the Massachussetts youth lacrosse organization.

We forget sometimes that there are saints living among us.
When we meet them, we are reminded, not just of the presence
of pure divinity right here on earth, but also of our own potential,
and of the responsibility we have to try to live up to it ~
for our own sakes and for the very future of this planet.
Deepak Chopra
