About
Carl’s career spans over 23 years, serving a growing variety of industries and companies. Most recently Mr. Shuller worked as a Project Manager at Genentech and was actively involved with their internal group appropriately named ‘Green Genes’, a grass-roots, science-based partnership between employees and upper management to create innovative business policies and practices to minimize or eliminate the organization’s environmental footprint . A series of events caused Carl to assess his own “foot print” and make changes that are aligned with his core values and vision as they relate to sustainability. One such change involved relocating to beautiful Sonoma County where he is striving to live his love, and love his life. Emerging himself in the re-localization movement is one of his top priorities.
Mr. Shuller received a BS in Construction Management from Southern Illinois University and a MS in Human Environment Relations from Cornell University. While much of his career has been focused on leading project teams in the areas of software development and integration, he is currently working towards a certification as a Sustainable Building Advisor. Carl is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
In many ways his most valuable education has come in the past few years through various programs at the Regenerative Design Institute in Bolinas, CA including a Permaculture Design Course and the Ecology of Leadership program. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Green Key Franchising Corporation, a national real estate franchise specializing in green building and remodeling which strives to empower, enrich and educate their clients to make informed decisions that positively affect their lives as well as protect the environment. Carl is also very excited to be working in conjunction with the Pachamama Alliance to deliver the ‘Awakening The Dreamer, Changing The Dream Symposium’ to the growing number of people in his community interested in transitioning to an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, and social just presence on this earth.
