About

We are blessed with an awesome planet that was designed to be sustainable. Purposeful stewardship and thoughtful decisions will insure continued sustainability for future generations. Wise leaders of past generations chose to set aside vast lands for preservation and conservation. I hope my grandchildren’s generation will be as thankful for how our generation handled this vast resource as I am of those earlier farsighted visionaries.

May we learn from the mistakes of our fathers and honor the prescience of those that had the foresight to provide for National Parks and Forests. What we do today does affect many tomorrows.

In a global society, your back yard is limitless. Change in my attitude toward the earth begins in my own yard. It happens to be on a little island in South Puget Sound; sometimes storms blow by, sometimes trees fall. Even the cleanup after a storm becomes a part of our stewardship on this globe.
