Autobiography is not the story of a life; it is the recreation or the discovery of one. In writing of experience, we discover what it was, and in the writing we create the pattern we seem to have lived. Often, of course, autobiography is merely a collection of well-rehearsed anecdotes; but, intelligently written, it is the revelation, to the reader and the writer, of the writer's conception of the life he or she has lived. Simply put, autobiography is a reckoning. 

Anthony Claret is an experienced writer and author of so many articles. His background and early experience played a significant role in his life. Claret had experiences as educator, activist and facilitator in the fields of participatory development, ICT, Gender, Education, HIV/AIDS, Human Rights and Environment. He is a motivational speaker with a good sense of humor. He has published and co-authored some books. He is also a writer of everything from children’s books to satirical columns and articles.

His works has led him increasingly to the conviction that the solution to many development problems lies in an integrated and resourced based approach to the capacity development and empowerment of young people, based on their own participation and protection. Such an effort, Claret believes, would have gone far to arrest the spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic that continues to cut a fatal, but largely preventable swathe through a whole cohort of youth in Africa and across the world.
