About
I am a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist practicing in Seattle, WA, with a multi-disciplinary collaborative care group. I teach naturopathic philosophy to medical students at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA, where I also have the delight and challenge of working part-time as the "University Catalyst". I blog erratically at http://lifecultivatinglife.blogspot.com.
I am deeply certain that an essential aspect of the Commons is Qi/ Vital Force, the One Life that pours through each of our individual lives. Practicing and teaching natural medicine for the past 17 years, I have come to understand that the restoration of each individual human ecology is absolutely reliant on the restoration to health of all the interwoven elements and conditions from which our lives arise. The choices we make as individuals can only partially influence our health and vitality -- no one of us can be entirely, truly, healthy as long as our societies and communities and world are being degraded. Social justice work and ecological restoration work and health care work are all part of the same work.
Organizations here that I'm affiliated with, support, love:
Bastyr University
Interra Project
Bioneers
Tikkun
Brit Tzedek v`Shalom, the Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace
Whidbey Institute
