About

I am an Ashoka Fellow in Uganda, where I have lived since 1998 and created the Life in Africa Foundation. I am a divorced mother of 3 boys with a wonderful man in my life, an occasional strategy consultant, and a deep thinker on how grassroots communities can connect to work together to change the world in very practical ways.

I use the WholEarth system to quickly indentify the problems facing any environmental situation where humans are involved.

First, I review the five elements. I use it like a mantra.

Housing
Water
Food
Energy
Occupation

It is very likely that the root cause of the problem is based in one or more of these five things.

Your thoughts please.
