I'm a writer, currently in the middle of a novel about the Hollywood blacklist. Although it was born from my passion for the 1940's and noir, it's been an education in civil liberties and the parallels between the old McCarthyism and the 'new' McCarthyism. I'm also Associate Editor for Talent Development Resources, a group of websites dedicated to providing information and inspiration to enhance creative expression and personal development. This summer, 2009, I'm leading a series of discussions at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara on Ethical Eating and Environmental Justice. We're hosting an event with Will Tuttle - a lecture on his book, The World Peace Diet, on July 25th at 7pm. The low down is here on the site.
