Kia Ora Bowo! Thank you for being an amazing planetary citizen and making good in the world your life's work. I'm encouraged by knowing there are many of us caring enough to make a difference. May we all inspire and support each other! That was sweet of you to offer to help me finish my resource page. I was very tired the night i started it n so busy since. I'm preparing to leave my life here as a subsistence grower, householder and parent and volunteer overseas. I'm very excited about it! I'll write again when i have news for you!! Blessings on all you do, Iona |

@Christopher: Thanks for droppping by. Narda and I have modified the group page further. Should be easier for you to post a poem now. @Narda: Your 10am is roughly my 4pm. So, we can talk in length. Do you Skype? My id is wibowo_s @jazzieb: Who are you and what proof do you have? Let's discuss publicly by following the process I've explained in my internal message to you. |

Dear Mr. Bowo, I would like to put your attention to something. Please read the following: I am very concerned at seeing such fraudulent and corrupt people on an esteemed networking site as this. Mr.Alam is known for his fraudulent activities, such as misleading the common and poor alike, taking monetary incentives from people for illegal immigration processes. Extorting people in the name of religion, running an organization with dubious finances in the name of running an NGO (which also claims to be fundamentalistic and religious in nature, although it should be purely humanitarian). Using religion as a means to brainwash and harass the naive and the innocent. Is known to extort poor and innocent Bangladeshi nationals by claiming to be fast friends with statesmen such as the U.S. President and other well known people.Through
practices like issuing so called U.N. security cards and Fake U.N.
Passports, he has taken monies from many people back in his home
country Bangladesh. Dayemi Complex is an organization enlisted with the
U.N. for humanitarian work. That does not give him any authority to
issue U.N. passports, appointment letters, ID cards (albeit fake.)

Hi Bowo, We need to figure out a time sinc so we could forward the page. I normally begin at about 10am here, so how much time does that leave us? I have made some changes and wondered whether we could talk about it? N |
|
@N: Not sure if creating just one poem (the first two lines of which was from a friend's) in my entire life qualifies me as a poet :) but word-play always intrigues me, so yes, would love to do my second one :) Thanks for starting that group and the invite, looking forward to do both tech and text :) |
|
Goodness Bowo, You are a poet, I must invite you to contribute in IN THE EYE OF THE HAND POETRY not only as a tech admin... God willing we can set it up soon N |
|
@Max: You might want to contact Craig (5dman) who've written a fiction around growth of consumption (a discussion forum on it). I can only imagine how busy you must be with the new mag. Best wishes!
@Kathryn: Selamat siang :) Didn't realized that we're neighbors! Looks like you very much enjoy Bali :) Do you have any particular tool you'd like to use for fundraising? I'm guessing that if we do ever implement such tool, it will be third-party tools embedded onto a group page. Openwiser, our recent community-led crowd-sourced fundraising campaign uses ChipIn. Would something like that work for you? Let me know if you need any help navigating the WiserEarth waters :) Cheers, |
|
Selamat Pagi Bowo, I just noticed that you are in Jakarta. I am in Bali where I have lived for 6 months. Wiser Earth looks amazing, and I am very interested in looking around here. It would be great if you could offer a Crowd-sourced fundraising option for groups to use.
cheers, Kathryn |

Hi Bowo,
It has been a busy few days bringing a new magazine to the web, and now that the issue is online, the work has not become any lighter, but I will get around to addressing the group after I can come up for air. I would like to see someone submit "environmental fiction." Of course, there has to be the element of truth and it should lead to a solution. Themed to the lessons in "Story of Stuff," it should make for some good reading.
Cheers, Max

Hi Bowo, Thanks for inviting me to the group. I remember my high school teacher discussing built in obsolescence during a civic studies class. That was in 1963! As is evident, I never forgot that. Story of Stuff was a continuation of that lesson, and it is one that should be taught. Viewing the video prompted me to write an editorial commentary in "Smashed Ink Magazine." We are primarily an online arts and entertainment magazine, but I am happy to make the pages of Smashed Ink available to promote this very important message. As a writer, I invite you, Bowo, to lend your voice to a creative piece on the subject of the "Story of Stuff"--whether fiction or non-fiction--as a feature to appear in Smashed Ink. The invitation is extended to other members of the group who may wish to submit some artistic work--writing (fiction, poetry), painting, or photography--themed to "Story of Stuff." Smashed Ink is a fledgling online publication and is a non-paying publisher. This has not deterred artists from all forms of the arts to contribute works. It is a voice. Submission guidelines, as well as our editorial comment on the video "Story of Stuff," can be found at: http://www.smashedink.com or Google: Smashed Ink Magazine Thank you again, Bowo for the honor of becoming a group member.
Best wishes, Max Rutherford Publisher/Editor-In-Chief Smashed Ink Magazine
