I love the concepts of Keyline landscape design, Humanure composting, Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg, simple living,..  Ram pump, rainwater catchment for drinking water, useable roofs, passive solar, simple biosand filter for cleaning water to drink, anaerobic digesters (simple ways to make methane out of organic material in an oxygenless environment like a 55 gallon drum, for cooking, light, electricity generation,....and the end result is very absorbable organic fertilizer.  Also, perfect for human sewage systems to turn crap into energy for households, and dairies, and landfills/dumps! ), moving toward independence of man made to get back to dependence on nature, sovereignty
