Peak Oil -- And What Do We Do Now?

Friendly, down-to-earth, sometimes a bit absent-minded and shy but determined to achieve my goals. I am somewhat of an idealist, a hippie, a bohemian and perhaps a rocker at heart. I love meeting people from all sorts of different cultural backgrounds and walks in life willing to share thoughts and impressions.

Important things to me that have a lot to do with my personal growth and goals are getting involved in environmental and human rights activism, which includes the peaceful fight for indigenous and tribal peoples that have suffered in the past.

On this point, cultural anthropology and volunteering in any way possible with NGO's (NOT affiliated with any religious or biased groups) really interests me, and if it were not for the fact that we all need to make a living, I would love to fully dedicate myself to those causes. I hope one day I will, in the meantime I do what I can do.

I also have a keen interest in Eastern philosophies (Buddhism, Hinduism), as well as tribal and pre-Christian beliefs (e.g. polytheism, animism, shamanism).

I am currently working for a price comparison website in the Online Marketing department, doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

I am a member of both Amnesty International and Greenpeace, and I regularly attend AI meetings and volunteer for many of their local events. I also worked for Greenpeace recruting new members for a month while living in France.

In the future I would love to volunteer abroad, and also complete a second degree in Cultural Anthropology or work in a related field.
