About
I am one of the founding and active members of the Mountains to the Sea Renewal Circle Elders Core Council which is dedicated to regenerating the resource of wise elders within the our communal body and the culture at large. In indigenous cultures, the resource of elders has always been a guiding light to the sustainability of the culture, carrying the longest memories and accumulated life experiences beneficial to helping the youth individuate in an authentically powerful way in order to step into leadership in their futures. We at MSRC ECC support and participate as mentors in the Art of Cultural Mentoring and Nature Awareness and Regenerative Design programs founded by Jon Young, Naturalist and Master Tracker and founder of Wilderness Awareness School; and Penny Livingston and James Stark, founders of Permaculture Inst of Northern California and Regenerative Design Institute (RDI) at Commonweal Garden, Bolinas, California.
I am a graduate of RDI's Four Seasons Permaculture Design Course and a member of Permaculture Marin.
I have parented my daughter, Hannah (now 24), supporting her in realizing her dream to become a performing artist.
I have a family heritage going back to 1870s in this country of seeking peace, caring for the land, and speaking out for human rights.
Peace and blessings,
