I appreciate the surprise of your visit to the Arunachala Greening site Angus, it moved me to return to it myself and notice that it was in need of attention; so your visit resulted in the image gallery being populated and the profile extended to include a succinct account of the project instead of just mention of Neil Pike's video. So: be encouraged and thanked. Arunagiri

Hi Angus. I work with over 300 groups in western Canada who formed to help conserve salmon. Sadly, without these groups salmon may have gone the way of the Atlantic fishery long ago! At this point the groups have no communications networking tool, i.e. they work in isolation. I wonder if you can tell me more about the software that WiserEarth uses to create its network? If it is custom have you ever considered sharing it? If not, is there freeware that you recommend to create this kind of network?

Dear Angusparker:
Thank you so much for your comment. I would like to let you know that I took it at heart because you may be able to help us educate more people in a humanistic and ecological way. I like the fact that you want to keep WiserEarth in line within the realm of its mission and I do too.
The main purpose of our training-seminar is to empower people to understand how to live a well designed life here on, our unique and irreplaceable planet, earth. The reason why here in United States and many other developed countries we have become CONSUMMERS, not World Citizens it’s because we have not yet learned how to plan our lives to enjoy every single moment of it while protecting our beautiful and admirable planet.
Our Happiness Index has dropped greatly while we are getting over weight, stressed and depressed. Do you know why? You may have the answer, but too many of us don’t and someone has to take the lead by educating those who ignore almost completely how to live a good life without excessive consumption and waste. Is it a lack of planning?
If you were to watch a video on STUFF’s website ( http://www.storyofstuff.org/index.php ) about waste and the consumption mentality, you would agree with me. I was led to WiserEarth through a link from STUFF. Well, I believe you must be a very educated man because you are contributing in helping understand the problems of our planet.
To me, excessive consumption and unnecessary waste come from lack of education. Lack of awareness is a great sign of ignorance. Educated people are well aware about their environment and they act, in most cases, in a very responsible manner. Happy and educated people live a balanced life.
Our gene and our environment make us the people we have become. Unfortunately, all of us, educated and uneducated, rich and poor, are affected negative directly and indirectly by the misused of most of the natural resources of our planet. Business, religious and political views contribute largely in the destruction of our planet, and of course, ignorance is big factor as well. It is very sad to know that the so called education that is provided by our schools, universities and institutions are not designed well enough to make us better ecological citizens. Because one would think that most of these ivy leagues educated people would be wise enough to act responsibly and appropriately in a mindful way to do business, to govern and to exercise their religious rights without compromising distrustfully our unique and beautiful planet. Are they really educated?
I tend to believe they are not. It is worth noticing they have been well instructed for many years in an unsustainable system, (schools, colleges, universities and churches) that needs to be reformed ecologically and neuro-scientifically. The word education is the noun form of the verb educate. It comes from the Middle English educaten, and the Latin terms educare and educatus means: bring up, rear; and educere means to lead forth or bring out or draw forth.
The understanding of the word education enables me to answer the question or to shed lights on your comment “Event appears out of scope for WiserEarth.”
It is clear that you used the present tense of the verb appear, which expresses doubt or point of view that may not be true. In fact, this is your point of view.
I certainly believe that this event is designed and well prepared to educate people about how to live happily, healthy and richly while protecting our environment. This will happen by using the capability of the neuroplasticity of our brain to bring a positive affect on our behavior, mentally, physically and spiritually. And by doing so, we will be able to set powerful and life-changing goals that are humanistic and ecological. This will set the foundation to carry out plans that will help us live a well designed life where excessive consumption and waste are replaced by Intelligent and Educated Consumptions that prevent waste from all its devastated forms that make us sick mentally and physically.
Ecological Intelligence is the new buzz in the Green Community and Daniel Goldman, once again, has made a contribution to our planet. Goals setting and planning must be the basic foundation of Ecological, Social, and Spiritual Intelligence that all of us need.
Let me finish by saying that the participants will walk away as Ecological Social and Spiritual Intelligent people whose goals and plans are clearly defined in written by knowing that the map is not the territory.
I do appreciate your comment because it helped us understand one another while others can benefit from our comments. It would be not a waste if you could visit this link http://www.positive-neuro-life-designer.com/Free_seminars.html so you could have a better understanding about this free 2-hour and powerful training-seminar.
Let us smile and yawn! Both help the fitness our brain and they are free.
Happy, healthy and prosperous holidays and keep making comments.
