About

My passion for architecture and sustainable design is inspired by the wisdom of natural systems. Working at Rocky Mountain Institute has provided me with many opportunities to develop professional leadership skills and increase my knowledge of the theory and application of sustainable building and development. My greatest strength has been my ability to learn and problem solve through collaboration with colleagues and clients. At this point in my professional growth, I am eager to compliment my technical expertise with enhanced design skills and hands on experience.

Ashley,

I do Home Performance and own Mid Missouri Home Energy Services. This came as an alternative route to design school, as I have been doing residential design remodeling and renovation for the last 8 years. Austin has a great program if your interested in Grad school. RMI is an awesome place. I was especially impressed with the diagrams they put together with the Sustainability Inst. in the Primer for Natural Capitalism. What did you do at RMI? I also work on energy efficiency policy for the state with the help of some other orgs. I also study Urban Ecology, which is a mixture of Geography GIS, Public Policy, and Economics. You sound like someone who has ventured upon a path I had myself chosen at one point to follow. We will be working with RMI this semester at the Univ. of Missouri, Columbia to formulate a sustainability agenda and so many things are clicking into place in my life. If your interested in conversing more send me a response and I'm sure there are many things to talk about.

Regards,

Brad McConnell
