Hi Bowo,
I'm working on figuring out why those images are creating that error. In the mean time would you upload them again using a shorter (abbreviated) name. I'll get back to you soon when i figure something out. |
|
actually, this looks more than a local problem. I'll have the tech team look into for you.

Hi Bowo, this bug came up last week and the tech team has been working on it. the fix should be pushed live soon. In the mean time you can still upload photos by way of the Gallery/Photos tab of any given page you are working on. Once they are posted, you can then add them into the About section content if you wish, in the same manner as you are used to.

Hello Nepwhan,
It appears that your password is working correctly due to the fact that you were able to leave a message on this forum. When you sign in on WiserEarth, their is only a subtle indication of this. After signing in, in the top right corner of the screen, your name will appear with direct links to your profile and and your groups. Look for this change when you come to the site and wish to begin editing information. If you have further issues please post another question. |

In a discussion with a coworker of mine over the rampant greenwashing we fell into a disagreement. I would like to offer this question to you all in order to focus our efforts little more, in this fight for honest business.
Is the Toyota Prius green? Since the mpg isn't particularly high, only making a little better than efficiency than some smaller all gas vehicles, is this really a step forward? There certainly has been a response by consumers toward this technology, but we all know that there is more that Toyota could do. Should we view Toyota as a green company when they are only doing what they need to do to stay ahead the current car market? Or should we wait to hold them up until they release and manufacture all the hybrid and electric technology to the consumer market? Thank you all for your comments, ahead of time. |

i'll handle it molly. np.

i am not exactly certain what you mean by "correct this page". The URL you posted is the create a topic page for the questions forum. It would be helpful if you could tell more of the story around what is broken and how you got there.
I did notice that the cancel button doesn't work in the link you sent but I had no trouble loading that page. so, tell me more and somebody will fix it. |

There is an Interactive Map feature. You can access it on the left navigation bar in the Browse section. If you have other ideas as to how this feature should work or need more assistance you can post another question here.

Yes David, well put. Language unfortunately has enough distinctness for us to want to hold on to phrases and words in a frozen state like the most beloved items in our lives. They are in many cases exactly how we feel, think or otherwise express. Without words keeping a certain meaning in many cases, we lose a little bit of ourselves.
However true this may be, I personally have recognized the futility of trying to stop change and linguistic evolution. It is more important, it seems, to pay attention to the spirit of the matter and use language as it is available to express that deepness. So our attention, although generally focused on the words, ought to turn toward the essential matter of the expression. I believe that you are saying something similar. This group stands to expose that many companies are high-jacking the spirit of our hopeful future by stealing the language we currently use to describe it. In that case - expose on! |

Hello Osbert,
Unfortunately I was unable to recreate your problem. I searched the name of your organization with "all" selected and with "organizations" selected both were successful. There may have been a server issue when you were doing your search. If you encounter this problem in the future please contact me directly. thanks, adam |

hi brad,
Sorry for the delay on helping you out. I can remove the wikipages that you do not wish to live in public view any longer. I checked out the group page and it appears that the problem has been solved. You can contact me directly the next time you need assistance. Otherwise, the answer is Editor's of WiserEarth have the ability to change the status of pages. If you are an editor you will see a drop down bar in the bottom right corner of the page. In order to maintain transparency with all users, nothing that is created can be "deleted". Instead the setting of a page you wish to get rid of is "removed". The pages that have been removed are still viewable by Editors and Admins of WE but to the rest of the users it will appear that they have been deleted. |

What exactly is the problem? When you go the "Gallery" tab there is a tool there search your computer and upload images. They must either be a .jpg, .png, or .gif under 1mb in size. Choose browse, find the correct image file on your computer, select "Open". Then you must click "Upload Image" in the image tool. Once you have accomplished this, you should see your image in the gallery. And you can repeat this process.
Hope this helps. Contact me if you are not able to upload. |

Hi bowo,
Glad you found the groups feature and have begun using it. Sorry for the frustration. In response to your first question, the "subtitle/catchphrase" can be edited under the "About" tab of your group in the "Info" section. As for the length, I will look into this to find out what the logic was behind the length and get back to you. For now it would be best to adjust as necessary. For the second issue, I will also report your findings of incompatibility of Opera on the site. We currently optimize the site for Firefox, Safari, IE6 & IE7. Opera is used by the least amount of our users and our current development team is very small. I will report the issue and they will address it accordingly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. |

I only got a 83% for Gravel, but Gravel nonetheless. I think that site is a right-wing ploy to get left-wing voters to think Gravel has a chance so they'll vote for him and split the democratic vote. Everyone who has taken it that I know had Gravel as their nomination of choice. Not that I don't think Gravel is a great candidate.

Hi Lee. I would like to echo Angela and say thanks for bringing this up and building this organization. I am interested to know how you and the members/volunteers make change. What are the main points of action to ensure healthy continued growth of the tree population? I am somewhat familiar with the clear-cutting and timber industry issues and methods but the work of "Sudden Oak Life" is new. Thanks again.
