About

My name is Mr. Abdoulie Cham I am 43 years old and a Gambian by birth. I am born from a farming family and that make me to be a farmer by birth abd nature. My father was a big farmer and we were living in the province in the last regions of the eastern part of the country. I did my primary and secondary school levels in that part. I am married with four childern, three boys and one girl. I am a trained social worker and did a lot of social and community work. In fact I started doing  and coordinatingf community work at a very early stage, I think as early as 18 years. I had a lot of trainings in different areas and lately divelop my self in health too after lossing three people in my family as a result of tuberculosis. I lost 2 sisters and one nephew as a result ,this made me to concentrate and do more of public advocacy and sensitisation to enlighten the community about tuberculosis and prove to them that it is curable and drive the stagma attached to it. That was how I organised and form the Stop TB and HIV/AIDS-The Gambia. I am dedicate my life in the global fight against this two global treats name TB and HIV/AIDS. At the community level too we try to do a lot of enviromental sensitisation since that is what we depend on for a better life and health.
