About
After nearly 20 years of teaching and promoting water and resource-efficient landscapes on behalf of public water utilities in Colorado and Washington states, I have re-invigorated my affinity for Nature through the creation of Advanced Botanical Resources, Inc., a general contract landscape and habitat restoration firm that integrates science and sustainability. Through ABR, Inc., I aim to fulfill customer needs utilizing cutting edge design, native and adapted plants, state-of-the-art habitat restoration strategies, as well as sustainable landscape and openspace management technologies.
And, with the aid of grant funding, I orchestrate citizen volunteers through collaborative venues that salvage native plants from sites destined for development and coordinate natural areas stewardship training programs. Locally, I work in league with the Washington Native Plant Society, the Cascade Land Conservancy, the Green Tacoma Partnership, the Pierce Conservation District, Metro Parks Tacoma, the City of Tacoma, the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation and the Pierce Conservation District. I am a member of the Steering and Outreach committees for the Green Tacoma Partnership, and a Trustee to the Cascade Land Conservancy in Pierce County, Washington.
