I am an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux (Lakota) Tribe. Located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, USA. I have been working for the Oglala Lakota College for 22 years. My interests are: Lakota Culture, Lakota Music, Lakota History, Music composition, Web Design, and all aspects of videography. I am also a traditional dancer and singer of Lakota songs. Contemporary music composition is one of my passions. My stage name is; Son of Lakota

I'd like to invite you to become a member of my group, Maka Si Tomni. The Order of Earth a private Colorado Non Profit formed in May 2002 has committed to the Lakota People and Pine Ridge Reservation as the 1st global project in April 2007, now known as Maka Si Tomni, a Lakota translation: Circling the Earth.

I am a founding member of Maka Si Tomni that goverance is built on consensus, soverniegnty in action and natural spiritual law. I am focused on the Maka Si Tomni Film the "Lakota Ride Again," Webmaster overseeing sight development including Podcasts, and Media development.


Pine Ridge Reservation (Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation) is the poorest county in the USA, has the most veterans per capita, and has an annual income per capita of $4,000 per year. It is an under-developed sovereign nation within the borders of the USA that is on the brink of social extinction.

The Lakota Paradigm (language and culture) is a view-point where humans are social loving animals in sacred relationship to all life: rocks, stars, plants and animals. This language has been oppressed by government, religion and educational systems, and, the language still survives to this day which is incredible. The Lakota Language is a heart based song of living passed from grandparents to grandchildren for thousands of years.

Maka Si Tomni is committed to "Bringing Forth a Thriving Lakota Language and Culture" and it provide an exploration in a living creation story that has relevancy to the problems current facing modernity.

There are a few ways you can engage with Maka Si Tomni:

One is become a part of Maka Si Tomni network and offer support in a domain of expertise on our advisory council.

Two is become a sponsor and support the largest gathering of 1st nation people's at Greasy Grass Little Big Horn National Monument in 132 years on June 25th 2008. Your organization can sponsor a rider in this Sovereignty-In-Action of 1st Nation People's. The Lakota Nation in 1868 entered into a treat with the USA and on June 25th 1876 was attacked by General Armstrong Custer and the 7th Calvary and defeated on Greasy Grass, Little Big Horn Montana.

Three is to participate in the Maka Si Tomni educational project within an educational classroom by exploring the current DVD and exploring a discussion of the significance in learning how embracing diverse view-points is a part of the new emerging Global Civil Society.

There are many ways to support the Maka Si Tomni endeavor and here is a practical compassionate way to support this history making event. The $300 rider sponsor contribution funds the horse's preparation to cross state lines, fuel for transportation, and food for both rider and horse. Your organization will be notified of the who the participating rider is and 80% of the riders who participate are children experiencing the spiritual cultural significance of there heritage. What you receive in return is educational materials: the just released DVD "The Lakota Ride Again" and at the completion of the ride the final version including footage of this history making event in 2008. And the your sponsor rider's picture and letter of gratitude.

Maka Si Tomni is committed to building bridges between the Lakota People through meaningful social relations within this emerging Global Social Society. Our website is www.makasitomni,org.

Maka Si Tomni is also exploring Wise-Earth network participants interested in supporting the long-term goal of "Bringing Forth a Thriving Lakota Language & Culture." The Lakota People built their culture around this language of the heart, a language that is deeply connected with the Earth and all life. Some immediate areas of domain expertise we are in need of is: fund raising, goverance, website development, language revitalization, filming, and media public relations.
