I am a lawyer in private practice, a solo practitioner since 1983, litigating on behalf of injured persons in the field of civil rights and employment discrimination law. Through the State Bar and other organizations I advocate for civil rights in various contexts, including the courts, legislature, prisons and education.

I am a practitioner of kundalini yoga and meditation, a progressive member of a mainstream Christian congregation and a seeker after enlightenment.

I am married and a father of four children, two boys and two girls, ranging in age from 16 to 28. My oldest son wais recently honorably discharged from active duty in the Marines. While in the Marines, he was deployed twice to Iraq. I very interested in understanding the role of the US in the world with a goal toward ending militarism and imperialism and building a foundation for a cooperative world government and economy.
