About
Tusweca Tiospaye is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is devoted to the promotion and strengthening of the Lakota language.
Our mission is to create a strong, healthy, and prosperous environment in which children and their families can learn and incorporate the Lakota language into their daily lives.
Our vision is that one day Lakota children and their families will feel safe and comfortable in using the Lakota language as their primary language in the home and in the community.
Our goal is to revitalize the Lakota language by creating new generations of Lakota Speakers
We are 100% Lakota operated, based on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and operate with community and Oglala Sioux Tribe support.

"The purpose of life for man is growth, just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth. Trees and plants grow automatically and along fixed lines; man can grow, as he will.
Trees and plants can only develop certain possibilities and characteristics; man can develop any power, which is or has been shown by any person, anywhere."
- Wallace D. Wattles
