Hello Folks:

I'm trying to re-design the way our Event page looks.

http://www.wiserearth.org/event/view/3f40a355d043d2074a7c913469a0a77b

It's called Heartbeat of Oakland.  I remember being able to change a lot, like removing some sections and rearranging some frames.  I'd like to move our main contact info (About section) to the top of our page.  I want to remove the section that shows a few photos of members.  I want to move the Basic info such as address, URL, etc down to the bottom.  How do I rearrange this Event page?  Thank You very much.

I get an error msg that the page does not exist on WiserEarth.  The url at the top of the msg is:

thanks

Hello team:

I'm getting a 404-not found error when i try to update a particular member's status, from a member to an admin.  The url is:

http://www.wiserearth.org/group/TheBigOne/edit_member/member_id/atower/referer/ToriJacobs

The 404 page has the foll. URL:

http://www.wiserearth.org/torijacobs

Tori Jacobs is also an admin in our Big ONE group but I'm puzzled by the 404.

Thank You T for the invitation.  Best Wishes on July 9; I have pre-scheduled events that day.  Looking forward to discovering more as the story unfolds.

Hi Honore:

I'm using Firefox Mozilla 2.0.0.14 on a pc running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack2.

The workaround of using a personal account works only when a WiserEarth user displays their email.  I have mine hidden to avoid spam etc but people can send me messages from within WiserEarth.

Thx anyway.

Bowo: Thx.  I added my comments and bumped up the level of interest in the fix.

Dear WiserEarth Team!

There's a bug in WiserEarth regarding members invited to a group.  These are WiserEarth members that were previously invited by me, an administrator.  After I'm logged in, I want to remind these people who"ve been invited to accept the darn invitation.  But there's no such feature to send a reminder!  If we try to send another invitation, it comes up as "You have already invited this user to your group"!!

I tried to UN-invite by deleting the pending member from the group, but even that feature is buggy.  It opens a window that says "Delete Member: "username" and that's it.  No green button that says "OK" or "Save" or even a cancel button.

Thank You for resolving this much needed feature.

Hi Dana: We've just about finalized the Intro letter to explain in plain and simple way what The BIG ONE is and isn't. We'll be sending out the finalized one in a day as well as upload it to our main Big One Wiser page. Thanks.

Hey guys!

A small brainwave! What if there's a better way to define ourselves instead of "groups" within the BIG ONE? In a fun, visioning kind of way? How about the following?

The Economy Bazaar in the BIG ONE (or the less attractive "Marketplace")

The Health System in the BIG ONE (or Body)

The Music Tribe in the BIG ONE (or Orchestra or Band or Talent or Producers)

The Peak Oil Tank in the BIG ONE (u know Think-Tank, Oil tank, tanking...)

The Permaculture Guild in the BIG ONE (or Forest if Guild is overused already)

The Schoolyard and the Community Garden in the BIG ONE

The Social Bees in the BIG ONE (Bees representing diversity, communication, harvesting honey)

The Sustainability Flywheel in the BIG ONE

The Food Justice Community Kitchen in the BIG ONE

The Youth Enagagement Pack in the BIG ONE

I think that these identifiers are more engaging and less boring. What do u think?

Friends: In acknowledging our uniqueness and defining ourselves, I'd like to suggest we drop the word "group" and identify ourselves as "The Sustainability Flywheel in the Big One". Thanks

I'd like to suggest that we abandon the word "group" and use bazaar or marketplace. So, this would be "The Economy Marketplace in the Big One".

It was an arresting advertisement. We normally dont hear the voices of animals we consume unless we pause. Do animals have a say in our food justice conversation? Especially when they seem to counsel us wisely for our own survival?

Is it possible to be humane yet eat animals? We are hungry, need to survive or like the taste of meat but we're also aware of what it means to the animal. How do we reconcile these factors esp. when we consider the water runoff from animal farms into our waters, the energy input and the effects on the land. And what about our personal health implications of a predominantly high fat meat diet?

Does this sensitize us towards a more vegetarian diet? What about dairy and going vegan?

What is the world eating comfortably in the year 02508 AD?

Thank You deeply, Jill. You have a signature style, that's beautiful and calming. The sea turtle is the Big One, the grand mama of it all.
