The Iguana Research and Breeding Station (IRBS), is a non
profit organization that since the year 1997 has developed it
efforts in the conservation of the endemic Iguana of Utila,
Ctenosaura bakeri.
Among the work programs of the Station, the breeding of this
species and the research of the fauna and flora of the island are
some of its main goals. But also the Environmental Education it
is one of its most important jobs. Through this program the
Iguana Station is able to impact in the population’s way of
thinking, with the intention of building a common language that
profit organization that since the year 1997 has developed it
efforts in the conservation of the endemic Iguana of Utila,
Ctenosaura bakeri.
