About

I am a writer, traveler, and father of a four-year old boy named Navarre. I am a currently developing Zooleo, an Interactive Audience Engagement Platform that brings forth the primary interests, concerns, and wisdom of groups.

I am a former Project Director for Richard Gere's public charity, Healing the Divide, where I organized the "Healing through Great Difficulty" Conference, which brought His Holiness the Dalai Lama into discussion with formerly incarcerated teens and adults.

In the early nineties, I spent one year on the Global Walk for a Livable World, walking for 6 months across the states, and for 7 months through India, Pakistan, and Japan. Learned more about life than in all my college years.

In the mid-Nineties, I founded the Lineage Project which offers awareness-based practices, such as meditation and yoga, to at-risk and incarcerated teens in New York City. The project won the Mayor's Voluntary Action Award from former NYC mayor Rudolph Guiliani.

My most recent book is the meditation book for teens, Just Say OM! (Adams Media, 2001). I also spent a year in my youth hitchhiking across the country interviewing people like Ram Dass, John Robbins, and others. I published the interviews in a book called Meetings with Mentors (Hanford Mead Publishers, 1995). I have also contributed to numerous anthologies, most recently Inspired Lives edited by Clea McDougal.
