About

I'm a Tongan-American who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I've lived in New Zealand and also Tonga. Where is Tonga? It's a tiny island nation in the South Pacific close to Fiji and Samoa. I now work at the Global Fund for Women where I'm the Program Associate for Asia and Oceania. I've been affiliated with the Commonwealth Youth Programme and have served as the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Regional Youth Caucus - South Pacific. From 2005 - 2007 I was the Director of the Tonga National Youth Congress, and I feel that my experiences in that position gave me a really good handle on how civil society operates in the Pacific Islands region. I currently spend my spare time volunteering for Pacific Islander organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, such as Lototaha Pasifika.

Greeting from AAAD-Bangladesh (Auto Advanced Association for Development), this is our pleasure to inform you that AAAD-Bangladesh is a registered Non-Government voluntary social development organization. Its aim is to assist the poor, destitute/under privileged, distress people (women, men & children) of rural & urban areas to make them as self-dependant and to ensure them about their rights in all level of the society. In Bangladesh millions of people are living under poverty (especially the people of rural area) and they are having only one meal once a day and the meal that causes mal-nutrition among the poor. Most of them are ignored about gender discrimination and are being deprived of getting the minimum support from the rich to ensure their rights.  Even the poor community is not getting a bit touch of literacy that can make their lives brightened. 
 
AAAD-Bangladesh is committed to eliminate the difficulties of poor lives, obviously if you help us providing a sufficient amount of grant.
Still we are engaged with the programs for children development (education, health, orphanages/ hostels), old home (for aged people), women development, sanitation, agriculture, caring for HIV/AIDS contaminated person & and growing awareness among mass people about the fatality of HIV/AIDS, adult education, handicrafts, tree plantation, etc. At this moment whatever is required that is your kind cooperation to provide us project related to the fields mentioned above. So it is our kind request to you to allow us as one of your development partners to implement any project here in Bangladesh.
