About
Imagine a world where no child or young person contracts HIV...
all children have access to safe drinking water...
education effectively equips young people with the skills they need for life...
SPW is working to make this happen.
Every year SPW recruits and trains over 800 volunteers aged 18-28 to work in rural communities throughout Africa and South Asia. Our model brings young people from the developed and the developing world together, to live and work in rural communities for 5 - 12 months on programs addressing the underlying causes of poverty and illness through school education and community based programmes. all children have access to safe drinking water...
education effectively equips young people with the skills they need for life...
SPW is working to make this happen.
The objectives of our programs are to provide: access to essential health information, information and education on sexual and reproductive health, information to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles and to utilise the skills, talents and energy of young people from across the globe.
Working as peer educators, our volunteers work to develop and deliver non formal and interactive community education programs and work to empower other young people to educate themselves and their peers.
