About
Currently living in Culver City, California - the L.A. area, where I am a board member of Rev Leland Stewart's Unity-and-Diversity World Council . The UDC Board has recently determined to make a big push for a "world that works for everyone", and we have been getting a high level of interest when we approach other groups. There appears to be a global ferment. Now we need to hook everyone up in an open, democratic process. Please see my wiki article, Global Assembly Dialog. Or even better, sign up directly at globalassembly.net. The Dialog has now begun, as of September 4, 2007.
Wiser Earth looks great. I am looking forward to the possibility of collaboration between the Unity-and-Diversity Global Assembly Dialog and the WiserEarth community. Please see the forum set up for the purpose of discussing a WE/GA alliance.
To get a conversation going about a possible collaboration, I will be contacting other WE community members one by one and in the forums, asking if you want to participate in the GA Dialog beginning early September, 2007. The idea is that by actual experience you will be able to decide if it really makes sense to work towards a WE/GA amalgam of some sort. To me it definitely does and I want to get us thinking and talking about the possibility.
As people sign up, I will list them here.
GA Participants So Far from WiserEarth (45 so far!)
If we can get fifty WiserEarth participants, then WE can be its own group in the diversity phase of the GA Dialog. Having a voice of its own in the Dialog will help build the WE sense of community, and that in turn will attract more participants to WiserEarth.

Hay Roger,
Looking at Wiserearth I can see how it has grown a great deal over the last couple of years. The tenants of Wiserearth like the many people and organizations on it are all looking at somewhat of the same issue and that’s how do we become more unified in action across the globe. Which, the Wiserearth website now plays a role in. Over the last month or so I have been proposing out on The Zeitgeist Movement the creation of a World or Planetary Council that would have a unifying effect if applied on our world this is where all the known human disciplines could be arrayed into a non-hierarchical structure. Where as seen within the below link the arrows indicate the flow of information and the categories are in effect the human discipline structures arrayed across the council.
Do you think the World or Planetary Council idea as I have proposed out on Zeitgeist as seen in the below link is something that Wiserearth would be willing to support.

I would be interested in your insight on this issue.
Respectfully,
Randy |

Roger,
Thanks for stopping in with the info on the Global Assembly Dialog coming. In regard to the issue of the use of the term imperium I assume somewhere within the dialog of the above global assembly shall be the letting go of preconceived notions or ideas that have been handed down from generation to generation. Well, across these generations I am afraid that the term imperium maybe got a bad rap label on itself. It's kind of like "bad dog" or "good dog" if all everyone see's is the "bad dog" than no one knows what the "good dog" even looks like. The same can be said for imperium - "bad imperium" or "good imperium" no one has seen or knows what the "good imperium" even looks like. To quote off Planetary Developments website about the term imperium used in the theoretical construction of the organization the Cooperated Linear Order of Non - aligned Descendances "its imperium which is nothing more than the amalgam of all the people from all the human disciplines that herald out of the immutable principles noted at any one time" you might more aptly call it in human terms an imperium of the mind where discussions and resolutions about issues across the human condition can reach the highest plains of thought. Or in this case "good imperium" not "bad imperium" as the term imperium has been previously known. I am just clearing this issue up here for all to see. Roger I am touching base here and look forward to communication in continuance. Peace and regards, Randy |

Hi Roger,
Sounds like you're doing some good stuff. There is a very simple way to work together on global problems, and I've started the process through this initiative: http://www.wiserearth.org/article/53b6707bcea92dfc91b0e64b2e889fcd All it needs to work is for people to start doing it. Please help spread the word if you think this is a good idea, or please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks, Sam |

That sounds real good, Molly. I will get in touch shortly.

Hi Roger,
I'd love to see some sort of partnership evolve between WiserEarth and the Global Assembly Dialog. WiserEarth exists exactly for this reason- to support initiatives like the GA. I'm interested to participate myself, but let me know if there's anything I can do to help or spread the word- Molly |

Hi Roger,
The Global Assembly Dialog initiative sounds great. Let us make it happen. My own main focus, besides peace as a basis for everything else, is c2c resource management, especially for water.
Presently one problem is still that there are so many uncoordinated great initiatives, which prevents us from joining forces. Every group has a great idea and starts to implement it, regardless of what already exists. Hopefully web 2.0 and why not WE help to merge all these ideas into a movement where we work together.
Regards,
Martin
PS: maybe you want to update your Global Assembly Dialog page on WE - it still talks about an upcoming 2008 relaunch.
