About
I am an architect passionate about social and environmental sustainability. My main focus for the last 15 years has been initiating and coordinating the development of Earthsong Eco-Neighbourhood, a community based on cohousing and permaculture principles. We have built 32 rammed earth and natural timber passive solar houses in West Auckland, with rainwater collection and on-site stormwater management, solar hot water systems and non-toxic materials. Earthsong is a non-profit, resident-driven development, with an active membership and now a flourishing community life. It's a great place to live!

I've been involved for 15 years in Heart Politics, a biannual gathering held at the Tauhara Centre in Taupo as a meeting place for people concerned about social justice and environmental issues to network, question, challenge and inspire each other.

I am also one of the first fellows of the New Zealand Social Entrepreneur Fellowship, set up late last year to identify and support social entrepreneurs in NZ.
