The transformation to sustainability and/as ways to happiness

What seems to be heard most often are the environmentalists predicting doom, and the deniers and delayers arguing that change would hurt us, personally and economically.Recently, we see an emergent understanding that a transformation to sustainability is actually not just about hard choices for "saving the planet," but about ways in which human happiness can ...learn more

About

20 years ago I was working as a Police Sergeant in England.

Whilst going through a divorce I began Soul Searching, literally - except back then I didn't actually realise that was what I was doing.

I wanted to make sense of my own on little life, but I guess I must have asked or prayed to make sense of LIFE…and bingo!

My Mundane Mind naturally opened to my Soul — it was a distinct moment— I still remember it….

I was on duty, driving my Police Car, thinking about how tough it was going through with the divorce, yet at the same time truly appreciating how amazing we human beings are to be able to go through all kinds of pain, heartbreak and so on, and yet still be able to function well. Still be able to be professional, and responsible, and care about others, even if your own life felt like it was well on its way down the toilet.

The moment that I truly APPRECIATED THE TRUE NATURE OF HUMANITY, was the moment that I began to be blessed with insights, knowings, awarenesses and so on - poco-a-poco.

And from that moment on my Mind has been naturally Heaven Aware, rather than routinely Mundane.

This freaked the heck out of me at first, since back then I knew nothing about this kind of thing, hadn't even heard the term “New Age”, didn't have (and never have had) a guru - wasn't looking for personal enlightenment, just wanted to make sense of my own Life -

But of course, I soon realised (as I am sure most of you already knew) that it is impossible to truly make sense of an individual Life, without making sense of The Whole of Life.

Little by little I was blessed, at a pace that I could handle, with truly astonishing insights into, “How Heaven, The Whole of Life and Nature co-create, sustain, maintain, develop, enliven, enable, enrich and enjoy ALL natural living systems, and how this is done Truly, Wholly and Naturally.”

In other words, Heaven allowed me to KNOW the eternal principles of: “Compassionate Sustainable Development, Nature's Way”.

So, it wasn't long before I figured that I would be of more value to the world if I stopped working as a Police Officer and instead just lived what my name actually means “Wise Protector” (Raymond - Teutonic) “Warrior Of The Great Waters” (Murray - In original Gaelic form). Whilst “Ray” is said by some to mean “Peaceful”….

So, since I left the Police Service in the UK, and entered World Service instead, I have done my best to live every day, simply being who and what I truly am - “A Wise Protector, Peaceful Warrior of The Great Waters”.

So nowadays, 20 years on, after many adventures, I live each day like this, being me, doing what I came here to do, which is to help make this world a better place, for our children, their children, their children's children and so on.

I was based in Almeria, Spain for most of the past 10 years, but I now live in the UK again. Whilst I most of my work has been in the UK, it looks as though I will also be doing work in the USA from now on -  (I work as a freelance consultant / facilitator of Ethical Business Development and Sustainable Community Development).

I am in process of creating, with a small group of associates, an International School for Ethical Business (ISEB), to help the myopic and soulless world of orthodox business become the  visionary and compassionate world of ethical business…to facilitate the transformation of existing communities and establishment of new communities which are genuinely sustaiable, i.e: Planet Friendly, People Friendly and Prosperity Friendly, bona fide Havens of Heaven.

Easy peasy.

I have recently written an e-book, entitled, "Letter To The Leader", which explains some of the core tenets of my work, and anyone may download this, completely free of charge, from Scribd.com - the direct link to the e-book is:

I hope you enjoy reading it!

Best wishes,

Ray Murray
