My music

I've been laying the groundwork for a cross-continent Peace & Global Harmony pilgrimage - a way to connect neighbors and communities through singing, making harmony together. I'll be traveling in a gypsy vardo. Still working out the design with folks in my area. I'd love to set out early enough in the new year to arrive in WA DC around inauguration day 2009!

These had their origins in dreams, visions, meditations over the years that I was unable to sing or even talk (a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, from '79-1998, actually longer, but I get a treatment for it, now.). I wrote and put the songs to music, created the arrangements, then shelved them until my 65th birthday (2005). A group of about 15 singers and musicians performed the songs at my birthday celebration. We made the recording following that performance. I wish I'd taken more care in the recording and editing. I've been slow to "put it out there," but the folks who sang or heard the songs still request them, so here they are.

And now, with only half a voice, and unpredictable at that, I will venture out on behalf of Global Harmony, encouraging communities to come together around singing. I've always looked on myself as a "catalyst" in that regard, so it's nothing new. I'm rusty, to say the least, but every community has its own share of fine singers who will help me out, I'm sure.
