This is an aim we are working on and studying with :

Our aim is to combine different things like permaculture, peacebuilding, truth, love issues,
community building, creating a solarvillage model for poor countries, regional food autarky and more.
I´m engaged in supporting the young generation to create a peaceful planet.
I love connecting people and ideas, love gardening and peaceful thoughts, and I love living in a now big community with about 120 coworkers and children and now more than 80 students - which has moved 13 years before to Portugal, and has started 30 years ago in Germany .
It seems to me like an utopian paradise with the aim to help the world in a meaningful way .
More highlights : Field effect, Grace, unconditional love, Global Campus, greenhouses of trust, holografic universe, global consciousness, oneness, 50 people can change the world, nonviolence.
The idea of the 'Global Campus' was born with our co-operation partners in Israel/Palestine (The Holy Land Trust), India (Barefoot College) and Colombia (Peace Village San Jose). It is an initiative that will provide education, training and research in all aspects of peace work for the future - community building and social dynamics, sustainable technology, truthful reconciliation between the genders, the connection between the spiritual and political.

Peace Research Center Tamera – Retrospection 2008 :
The Peace Research Center Tamera in southern Portugal is steadily growing into its vision, fulfilling its intended goal to become a model of a regionally self-sufficient, ecologically and socially sustainable peace village, a center for the further education of young peace workers from all over the world, a place of retreat and a central point of the global peace movement, and an active helper in areas of crisis – in short, a platform for research and development for ecological, social and technological peace knowledge offering solutions for the future.

May 4th - August 15th 2009 :
Monte Cerro Peace Education" includes comprehensive studies in peace work and the creation of peace villages. At its core lies the knowledge about community and the development of trust, truth and transparency including the areas of love and sexuality. An essential part of the education is the study of the political theory of a global change through local actions.

The Ring of Power is an international, political meditation ring, initiiated by Sabine Lichtenfels in April 2002.
She is doing the meditation every morning at sunrise and invites peace workers from around the globe to
join in and thus to form a circle of power.
On every Monday, she sends her inspiration for peace work and a text of empowerment via E-Mail to the
Ring of Power. Thus, a network of the heart has grown which reaches out to many countries.
"Community is the universal organ that has suffered the greatest injury. It is a necessary part
of the Whole that has been destroyed on a global level. Everywhere where people were
displaced, enslaved or sold through conquering wars and colonization, communities were
destroyed and thus the life nerve of whole peoples. This destruction has been raging for 7000
years, up to the present time where the last indigenous people are being expelled and destroyed
in the name of economic interests on all continents. The disappearance of the human
community has caused a severe wound in the human civilisation. With the destruction of
community the human being has lost his/her authentic morality and responsibility. People have
been torn from their organic communities. This has also gradually separated them from their
own higher self and their higher knowledge and from the higher orders of life. Community was
and is the natural humus for trust and solidarity."

Peter, Thank you for all you do. It's very late in the states and spent some time learning about your intentional village and I am in such wonderful alignment with all your intentions. Dear Peter I am grateful for your comment, above all, because it moved me to reconsider for quite a while my intention and focus. I am deeply interested in Peace and am delighted to see the exponential increase in groups and organizations brought about by its (Peace) Impulse; even on this site alone. My response, however, has been mainly based in inquiry, contemplation, writing and conversation. We are friends, Peter, and as such, I do hope we can remain friends if I share my taste with you. My understanding is that by our reality we are already joined in Being... like limbs in one body. I see myself like that limb which has no power whatsoever to strengthen or influence anything, let alone ..."(to strengthen) this original and universal power of humankind"...as you say. Could a bulb strengthen the power upon which it is utterly contingent? Were we to have a glimpse of our inherent unity of being - from its own view point, we couldn't possibly usurp it... to me, this is an essential key in approaching any meaningful understanding of Peace. magnificent work-environment Peter. It all gives hope. The network/cooperative association of "green-business rural-production parks" I am taking about should be "Palestinian". These parks will grow to peaceful living-place for the community by adding new infrastructures to it. It will be great if you could help with building the Palestinian scenrio team. I know that the whole universe will be the supporting power for these kind of projects. |

Hi Peter, Tamera is a solar village, if I understand well, with a general ecological approach, including among others architecture and permaculture. I am from AEE - Institute for Sustainable Technologies in Austria. We are working at solar energy, sustainable buildings and sustainable water systems, which is my field of activity.
Our main interest is to develop cradle to cradle water and sanitation systems (see here) following the principle of waste = food. Main aspects are using water most efficiently, use it in cycles as far as possible and use nutrients from excreta. This includes source separation of different substances, e.g. faecal matter, which are composted, urine for crop fertilisation, greywater for reuse as domestic service water. It also includes rainwater harvesting for water supply. I would be interested to know whether you at Tamera are working at or have implemented such sanitations systems or if not, if you are interested in such activities. We would very much like to have a partner in a southern, water scarce climate working with permaculture. We think that the combination of sustainable sanitation and organic farming could lead to a new and sustainable substance flow management.
